A production cel and background setup from the Nepenthe Studios animated cult classic "Watership Down" (1978). Featuring Hazel, the hand-painted cel and background were created at the studio and used during the animation process. The piece is an actual frame of animation that was photographed and appears in the film. The image is seen at about 1:05:39 when Hazel is talking to Kehaar near the water’s edge. Measuring 10.5”x13” overall, with the character image measuring 6.75”x3.75”, the setup is in very good condition with light edge and corner wear, minor curling at top left corner of the cel, and a small tear at the bottom right corner of the background.
